Public Agency Membership

SAME’s Public Agency Membership gives you the opportunity to network with professionals outside your service branch or organization--from both the public- and private-sectors--who are working toward a common goal that supports your mission. Public agencies include federal, state, city or local government.

Included with your Public Agency membership are five openings for individuals as your member representatives. (SAME requires that one of those representatives must be in its Young Member category, age 35 or younger).

Each of the five representatives will receive all the benefits afforded them as an SAME member including a subscription to The Military Engineer magazine,, discounts on attendance to SAME events including the Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo, and access to the members-only section of the SAME website. In addition, your principal representative and Young Member representative will receive a copy of the annual SAME Directory of Member Companies and Public Agencies.

In addition, SAME Public Agency Representatives are encouraged to participate in one of SAME's many Councils or Committees--from Readiness & Homeland Security to Environmental to NCO--to provide their leadership and expertise in shaping the goals, direction and outcomes of the specific topics being addressed.

Whether on the local Post level, or on the national level, your five agency members will represent your organization's perspective at SAME events, ensuring that your voice is heard.

An SAME Public Agency Membership is just $75 for one year or $225 for three. Any federal, state, or local public agency with an interest in the goals and objectives of the Society of American Military Engineers, as stated in its Strategic Plan, may take advantage of this valuable membership.
