Our Mission
Build leaders and lead collaboration among government and industry to develop multidisciplined solutions to national security infrastructure challenges.
About the Post
The Rhein-Main Post of the Society of American Military Engineers is based in Wiesbaden, Germany, and is a nonprofit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry. Our members support the mission of the US DoD and our allies throughout the European Theater.
Our goal is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the A/E/C fields so that we can prepare for and overcome natural and man-made disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad.

The Rhein-Main Post accomplishes this goal locally by supporting monthly luncheon meetings and other professional/social activities attended by members of local government, military, private industry, students and other interested parties. Monthly meetings are usually held on Clay Kaserne, and upcoming meetings and events for the Europe Region are announced via the NewsFlash, our monthly regional email newsletter. Come join us for great conversation and networking, as well as interesting Industry and Government Engagement events! Distribution is limited to SAME Members affiliated with Rhein-Main, Kaiserslautern, and United Kingdom Posts who have opted-in to receive email notifications, so make sure your Account Settings are up to date (select contact permissions on EU Consent Form page)!
Unable to make it to the meeting? Whenever possible, we conduct the monthly meetings as hybrid events, with the option to attend via MS Teams. Tickets to join our meetings in person are made available through a link in the meeting announcement, and the link to the MS Teams meeting for virtual attendance is posted on the meeting announcement page shortly before the meeting.
The Rhein-Main Post maintains a Media Archive with links to downloadable copies of past presentations, and recordings of our meetings can be found on our YouTube channel.
