Post STEM
SAME has supported science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) events for over 30 years and conducted camps for almost 20 years.
The in-person camps are in a live-in immersive format. They provide a rigorous experience for students interested in exploring STEM skills and careers. Campers gain a sense of what it takes to become a STEM professional and what options exist to explore that interest from high school to college and beyond. Each camp has a unique curriculum that generally features hands-on activities conducted in a competitive environment that promote teamwork, leadership, project management, and problem solving.
Five camps are offered as in-person (with fingers crossed) this year. Campers should be prepared to cover travel and fees, though the Great Basin Post is hoping to offer scholarship support to one or two recommended campers for the Air Force Academy camp. This support will be detailed later after campers have been selected by Camp Directors.
All qualified applicants are welcome. Campers are selected by the Camp Director, not the Great Basin Post.
