The Rhein-Main Post champions the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) by students in grades K-12 as a strategy to develop the Engineers and Architects of tomorrow! We want to get children excited about engineering, math, technology, and science with the hope that someday they will pursue careers in engineering, architecture, construction or other related professions.
One of the main areas of support in this area is our STEM Scholarship program. We raise funds throughout the year through events like our Annual Golf Fundraiser to support the award of multiple annual scholarships, valued at $500 to $1,500. Scholarships are available to eligible high school seniors pursuing a college degree in the engineering field or related technical sciences.
The 2024 Scholarships are closed, with 3 scholarships being awarded:
- Audrey Garrison is a Wiesbaden HS graduate and will be attending Hesston College. She plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Kevin Lee is a Stuttgart HS graduate and will attend Texas A&M University to study engineering.
- Aiden Heumphreus is a Stuttgart HS graduate. He will attend the University of Texas in Austin and pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Audrey Garrison was at this year’s Golf Fundraiser, where she was presented the award by Post President Brian Osborn and Scholarship Coordinator Britta Ayers
