SAME will host a Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations Industry Day in Washington, D.C., June 29-30. This market research event is designed to provide industry with information on competing for contracts with the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.
Topics slated for presentation include both program overview and acquisition forecasts as well as specific issues tied to overseas work such as design integration; construction risk, supply chain and cleared labor; and inflation and economic price adjustment.
The two-day event also will include discipline-specific matchmaking such as architecture, interiors, construction management, climate security, and blast. It will include participation and support from the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Office of the Procurement Executive, and Acquisition Management, all within the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM | DS/IS/IND Security Overview The Industrial Security Division (DS/IS/IND) manages the State Department’s worldwide Industrial Security Program to ensure that national security (classified) and specifically designed sensitive, but unclassified (SBU) information entrusted to the private sector is properly handled and safeguarded. DS/IS/IND supports all bureaus within the Department, to include OBO. Cancellations will be accepted through June 16, 2023, and must be received in writing, to registration@same.org. Registration fees will be refunded in full minus a handling and processing charge of $75.00 for individual registrations. SAME regrets that refunds cannot be issued after June 16, 2023. The cancelation fee and deadline do not apply to government registrations. Government registrations will receive full refunds at any time.
