The Oct 2nd post meeting will be another visit to the STS construction site on Hurlburt Field. Construction is continuing and installation of the mechanical/electrical systems is almost complete. The meeting format will be a bit different. Please plan to bring your own bag lunch, along with a hard hat, as we will be eating and conducting our post meeting before we visit the construction site. Due to safety concerns we are limiting the size of our group to the first 25 individuals who sign up. For anyone without a CAC ID or DoD retiree ID, you will need to meet at the Hurlburt Visitor Center on Hwy 98 at 10:30 AM to obtain a base pass. Someone from our post will be there to assist.
Here is our schedule:
1030– All non-ID card holders meet SAME member at Hurlburt Gate to access base (SAME member in place from 1030-1050)
1100– Meet in lobby of 1 SOCES Building 90053, 415 Independence Road, Hurlburt Field (big bull in the front of building)
1100-1200 – Emerald Coast Post meeting and eat own lunch in Bullpen in Bldg 90053
1200 – Carpool/follow to RED HORSE parking lot and walk to MILCON construction site
1210– Construction site tour by 1 SOCES/USACE/Conti Federal
1240– Tour completed, guests depart or carpool back to 1 SOCES
