Join key leaders from industry, HRSD, NAVFAC, USACE, and VDOT as they share perspectives on how the A/E/C community can support delivery of the massive capital programs underway in Hampton Roads. The sheer number of projects scheduled to be in design and construction over the next five years creates a host challenges, which will need collaborative solutions to deliver on-time and safely.
Let’s identify the obstacles standing in the way of successful delivery of multiple projects and discuss synergies that could reduce duplicative efforts or provide additional value to the region.
This discussion will continue the conversation from the ODU Civil and Environmental Engineering Visiting Council (CEEVC) Fall Seminar on November 6th, but focus more on macro-trends and potential solutions to facilitate concurrent delivery of these large capital programs.
Speakers include Captain Kendall Chapman (Operations Officer, NAVFACSYSCOM MIDATLANTIC), Michael Darrow (Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management, Norfolk District, US Army Corps of Engineers), Thomas Fulton (Senior Vice President, Skanska USA Civil SE), Christopher Hall (District Engineer, Hampton Roads District, Virginia Department of Transportation), and Ryan Radspinner (Business Process Engineer, Hampton Roads Sanitation District).
