We warmly invite our volunteers and their families to join us for another enriching day with Project Healing Waters. This remarkable organization supports active military service personnel and veterans through therapeutic fly fishing programs, including fly casting, fly tying, and rod building. Recognized for its effectiveness in outdoor recreation therapy, Project Healing Waters not only harnesses the natural healing environment but also fosters camaraderie, connectedness, and community among participants.
For over six years, the Omaha Post has partnered with Project Healing Waters, contributing through volunteer support at events where no prior fly fishing experience is needed! Our volunteers and their families have the opportunity to serve meals, assist participants in learning fly fishing, or simply spend time sharing stories and building relationships.
