Event Description:
SAME DC Post invites A/E/C professionals to participate as volunteer reviewers for the Senior Capstone Team Project Review at Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) High School. This follow-up session builds on our February 20 engagement and offers students the opportunity to present their preliminary prototypes and showcase how their designs work with some testing and data analysis.
Volunteers will provide constructive feedback and industry insight to help students refine their projects ahead of final presentations. Your input plays a vital role in mentoring and preparing the next generation of architects, engineers, and construction professionals.
You do not need to have attended the previous session to participate. New and returning volunteers are welcome and encouraged to join us in supporting Our future STEM leaders with this session.
What You Need to Know:
- All volunteers must bring a valid photo ID for entry
- Report to the main office and ask for Ms. Teyibo upon arrival
- Parking is limited; use the rear parking lot on the left upon entering through the I Street gate. If parking behind another vehicle at the front entrance, please notify security at check-in

PARKING
As a reminder, you will need to enter the driveway for Phelps that is nearest to I St, NE and go behind the school building until you get to the parking lot in the front of the school.
Parking is very limited; you may need to park on 26th Street near the track/football field and walk up the hill passing Charles Young Elementary School.
