SAME National Conferences & Workshops
Each year, SAME hosts several national events and topic-specific workshops aimed at providing value to all aspects of the Society’s membership. These premier opportunities serve SAME’s primary strategic goals of strengthening industry-government engagement and building human capital.
Each event/workshop offers a diverse look at timely issues facing the A/E/C industry, upcoming contracting and acquisition forecasts, continuing education sessions and joint training, leadership development, networking opportunities, market research, and recognition and celebration activities.

The Career Transition Workshop is welcoming to all levels of professionals looking toward a change in their career. While in the past this event has been geared toward veterans transitioning out of the service and into industry (and that is still a primary objective), the program has been enhanced to also offer valuable information and connections for other individuals who are looking for new career opportunities. Online training sessions to prepare attendees for the in-person event begin in January, with onsite programming including interviews, presentations, and networking activities being held in February over a three-day period.

Each summer SAME hosts a multi-day training and networking workshop for volunteer leaders across the Society. This workshop puts an emphasis on Industry-Government Engagement (IGE). Attendees from SAME Posts nationwide will meet to hear from multiple speakers on how they conducted IGE at their Post. Expect a relaxed atmosphere with ample networking and group activities.
