Let’s celebrate Kathryn Thomas and her UPIC!

Pathway to (Dredging) Success

The goal of Kathryn’s UPIC is to teach currently incarcerated men life and work skills so that after their incarceration they were employable. Kathryn requested $15k from the SAME Foundation, and at the end of the 100-hour program, Kathryn’s team handed out over $22k in certificates: OSHA-30, First Aid/CPR, Blood Born Pathogen, Leadership, Social Behavior Learning, Etc. This UPIC leveraged collaborations with Western Dredging Society (WEDA), the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the 4th Circuit Court of Florida.

Great work, Kathryn!
