On Thursday, February 13, 2025, USACE representatives discussed what the Corps does, the diversity of employee jobs, some of their interesting projects, and what skills are needed to become an engineer to a group of students. The USACE representatives also facilitated a Marble Run Challenge build project. The students had to build a “Marble Roller Coaster” out of paper and tape that incorporated a 360-degree turn that demonstrated structural engineering principles. Each team brought their creation to the stage and ran their marble. The team whose marble traveled the longest distance after leaving the “coaster”, won a trophy.
