Oren Medal

The Oren Medal is named in honor of Rear Adm. John B. Oren, U.S. Coast Guard. it is presented for outstanding contribution to military engineering by a civilian or military member of the U.S. Coast Guard. This medal was first presented in 1968.

Eligibility

Regular or reserve U.S. Coast Guard officer in an active, inactive, or retired status; or a U.S. Coast Guard civilian employee, or retiree, of equivalent grade.

Nomination Criteria

Outstanding contribution to military engineering through achievement in design, construction, administration, research, or development.
